Willingly Bound

I can feel your ties
I can feel that you're binding me
to you
I feel no need to brace
when you push
And you'll feel no tug
when you pull
I'm your willing
participant
And you're my trusted
soul
And just as I'm bound
to you
You are bound
to me
And together when we walk
We will walk free

  3. That is how love feels best, when two are bound yet each is free. How did you become so wise so young? Smiles.

  5. It sounds as if this is a positive binding...not a binding in which either person feels constrained. Nice.

  7. Torie, I read this as a letter to God. It feels good inside & out to read this & knowing you can walk & obtain such freedom with Him in every step of the way. Short & crisp & one of my favorite of yours to date. Happy Easter to you & yours!

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Kelvin!! This poem can be interpreted in different ways. But you are correct. I had a spiritual awakening last year and this came flowing out of me. My feeling was one with God as in all things. The earth, the people, animals, nature. Just becoming aware that we are all one.
