When You First Kissed Me

Blissful tides
and the changing sea
I wish you could've felt
what I felt
when you first kissed me
I wanted to swallow
you whole
and I never wanted you
to let go
As the dawn crept in
and the sunlight
touched your skin
Oh, I knew right then
that I had to let
you in
Oh, the beat
of my heart
came pounding
so hard
I got lost in your eyes
because feeling you that way
was a calming surprise
So I kissed you again
and again
and again
And ever since then
you've changed my bones
And wherever you are
will always be
my home

  4. It is wonderful when love moves forward like this so strongly, no complications. Such safety and trust in it. I love the closing lines.

  9. "you've changed my bones"---great line!! This idea of being so affected by someone that there is change at a biological level. Beautiful.
