My Lovely Reverie

I'll cross
your bridge
and fill
you up
with everything
I need
And I know
that in
return
you will do
the same
to me
I'll nail you
to a cross
and wrap
you up
in burlap strings
There
you'll stay
until one
day
you hear
my voice
sing
I'll sing
for you
and lick away
your wounds
I'll cover
you
in wildflowers
and we'll
make
love
until
we bloom

  11. Melodically gripping, this dedication, devoted to its object of desire, I hear, as a duet, composed of harmonies in rhythm, imagery, and rhyme; a signature song for spring.

    Hypnotically rejuvenating!
